About Tatte — Crafted with Passion
Tatte bakery was born from a love of exceptional food and the belief that every meal should be a meaningful experience. From our Boston kitchen to your table, we bring warmth, craft, and community together.
A Kitchen Table Dream That Grew Into a Beloved Tatte Bakery
It started simply — founder Tzurit Or baking late into the night, filling her Boston apartment with the scent of cardamom, browned butter, and fresh bread. Those early batches, shared with neighbors and friends, became the foundation of what Tatte would become.
"Food is how I express love. Every item we make is a letter sent from our kitchen to your table."
In 2007, the first Tatte café opened in Brookline, MA. Word spread quickly — not through advertising, but through the honest recommendation of guests who tasted something genuinely different. Today, the tatte bakery experience has expanded to over 16 locations across the Boston area and beyond, yet every recipe still carries the soul of that first kitchen.
We source our ingredients locally wherever possible, partner with farms we trust, and bake everything from scratch each morning. Because you deserve food that's made the right way — not just the fast way.

Our Core Values
These principles guide everything we do — from how we source ingredients to how we welcome every guest who walks through our door.
Fresh Ingredients
We source locally whenever possible and bake from scratch daily. No shortcuts, no compromises — just real food made with care.
Community First
Tatte was built on the idea that a café can be a gathering place — a second living room where neighbors become friends over great coffee.
Craftsmanship
Every pastry, sandwich, and bowl is an expression of skill and devotion. Our bakers and chefs treat their work as a craft, not a task.
Genuine Hospitality
From the moment you walk in, we want you to feel at home. Warmth is baked into everything we do — not just the pastries.
Sustainability
We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint — from compostable packaging to working with farms that practice responsible agriculture.
Creativity
Our menu evolves with the seasons and our imagination. We take beloved classics and reinvent them with unexpected, delightful twists.
Integrity
We are transparent about what goes into our food. No hidden additives, no misleading claims — just honest, straightforward nourishment.
Cultural Richness
Our menu draws inspiration from global culinary traditions, celebrating diversity on every plate and in every bite we serve.
